(Battle Creek, MI.) July 17, 2019 – Creating an impact and improving young lives. That’s the outcome of a new initiative to provide healthy food and snacks for area schoolchildren. This past school year, FireKeepers Casino Hotel and The Fire Hub, restaurant and local food pantry, a joint effort of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi and FireKeepers Casino Hotel, were able to provide nearly 50,000 pound of produce and 2,300 cases of snacks to seven schools and daycares in and around Battle Creek through a program titled, Operation Fit. The Fire Hub greenhouse, located on nearby tribal land, was also able to provide nearly 500 pounds of produce for Athens Schools, after initiating the free salad bar for the high school on May 13, 2019.

(Battle Creek, Mich.) June 17, 2019 – The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP) and FireKeepers Casino Hotel held a milestone groundbreaking ceremony today to initiate construction of a second hotel tower and additional amenities at the award-winning property in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Construction on the hotel tower will provide an additional 203 hotel rooms, including fourteen suites, plus a transformed hotel lobby area, a new signature restaurant, new high limit slot and table game areas and a new VIP lounge. Michigan resident takes home $289,407 top prize
