(Battle Creek, Mich.) July 17, 2018 – The next phase of a multi-tier effort to bring food to the students and those needing assistance in the greater Battle Creek region will soon be underway. Leaders of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, owners of The Fire Hub and FireKeepers Casino Hotel joined tribal and community members today to announce that construction will soon start on a greenhouse, which will grow vegetables with the goal of delivering a free salad bar to area school students. The greenhouse will be constructed on tribal lands at the Pine Creek Indian Reservation, with a goal of offering the NHBP membership and Athens school students the opportunity to be the first beneficiaries of the produce.
(Battle Creek, Mich.) March 13, 2018 – FireKeepers Casino Hotel has, for the fourth year in a row, been named a Four Diamond Hotel by AAA, one of the hospitality industry’s premier honors. The 243-room hotel, one of an exclusive group in Michigan, was first honored with the designation in 2015.

April, 2017 – In April, 2016, FireKeepers Casino Hotel and its owners, the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi purchased and took possession of the historic Fire Station No. 4 located near downtown Battle Creek, Michigan, with the goal of revitalizing the building and turning it into a restaurant, bakery, and, most importantly, a much needed food pantry to help those less fortunate.
(Battle Creek, Mich.) May 15, 2017 – Kathy George, who has served as General Manager and Vice President of Hotel Operations for more than 5 years, has been named as CEO of FireKeepers Casino Hotel, announced Jamie Stuck, Tribal Council Chairperson of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi.

Rick Snyder joined the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Council, owners of FireKeepers Casino Hotel, along with a large contingent of elected officials and key Michigan business partners today to commemorate the Grand Opening of The Fire Hub restaurant and Kendall Street Pantry.
(Battle Creek, Mich.) July 19, 2016 – FireKeepers Casino Hotel is honored to be named a 2017 Corporate Community Leader by Gov. Rick Snyder and the Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC). The MCSC has been the state’s leading agency in volunteerism since its inception in 1991. The Corporate Community Leader award honors corporations and businesses that excel in community involvement and demonstrate excellent corporate citizenship by giving back to their community in a variety of ways.
