FireKeepers Casino opens
On August 5, 2009, FireKeepers Casino opened its doors, marking the beginning of a $300 million project that created a unique gaming destination in the Midwest. The property features a 111,700-square foot gaming floor with 2,900 slot machines, 70 table games, multiple restaurants and lounges, a live poker room, and a Sportsbook. The opening initially generated 1,500 jobs for the local community, establishing FireKeepers as a favorite gaming destination in the region.
Hotel Tower opens
In a major expansion initiative, FireKeepers broke ground on a resort-style hotel on March 1, 2011. The 243-room Hotel Tower 1 opened its doors on December 12, 2012, featuring an indoor pool, exercise facility, Smoke ‘n Fire restaurant, and a multi-purpose Event Center capable of hosting concerts and events for up to 2,000 guests. This expansion brought an additional 300 jobs to the Battle Creek area.
The Pit Stop opens
In April 2016, FireKeepers introduced the Pit Stop gas station, offering a car wash, convenience store, and gas station adjacent to the casino. The Pit Stop officially opened its doors on November 2, 2016, providing visitors with additional amenities.
Dacey’s Taphouse opens
Dacey’s Taphouse, a new restaurant and bar concept focusing on Michigan’s craft beer industry, opened its doors in December 2016. The Taphouse, featuring a rustic atmosphere and contemporary features, became the home to FireKeepers Sportsbook, allowing guests to wager on a variety of sports events.
The Fire Hub opens
In 2017, FireKeepers expanded its community initiatives with the opening of The Kendall Street Pantry, aimed at assisting those less fortunate. The Fire Hub, located in the historic Fire Station No. 4, also opened its doors, offering upscale yet affordable items and contributing to the community through various programs, including a greenhouse on tribal land and a fund to support local charities.
Dacey’s Sportsbook opens
Dacey’s Sportsbook opened in June 2020, providing guests with a virtual gaming experience and the opportunity to wager on various sports events.
iCasino & Sportsbook opens
FireKeepers Casino Hotel embraced the virtual gaming trend with the launch of FireKeepers iCasino and sportsbook website and mobile app in July 2021. The platform, powered by Scientific Games, offers a wide array of slots, table games, and sports wagering options.
Hotel Tower 2 opens
Continuing its expansion, FireKeepers broke ground on an additional hotel tower in June 2019. The new Hotel Tower 2, which opened on August 16, 2021, added 203 rooms and suites, a transformed lobby area, a new location for the signature restaurant Nibi, and enhanced gaming areas.
Fortune 8 Noodle Bar opens
As of September 2023, the Fortune 8 Noodle Bar added another exciting dining option to FireKeepers Casino Hotel. This establishment enhances the overall experience for guests, contributing to the diverse and dynamic offerings at the casino.
