I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business Management. During my education, I developed a passion for Las Vegas and had a unique opportunity to study gaming abroad in Macau, China. After graduation, I began my career at FireKeepers Casino Hotel starting as a slot attendant and quickly moving my way up to Slot Supervisor. Through my determination to go above and beyond for each and every guest and my passion for the gaming industry I became a casino host in December of 2010.
I started at FireKeepers Casino in 2009 and what an exciting time it was and still is. I am a mother of three and native of Battle Creek area, currently living in Kalamazoo area. With my love for customer service I have always enjoyed meeting people. I started at FireKeepers Casino at the Rewards Club and with hard work and determination I was promoted to an Executive Casino Host. Guest service has always been a passion of mine for over 20 years and is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve always strived for excellence in my profession and have received awards and recognition for my abilities. Building relationships with my valued guests and truly understanding their needs is what I am determined each day to give of myself. The excitement and fun that our casino delivers, with our promotions and wonderful amenities, makes me proud to be a part of such a remarkable organization and what I call “team”. I started my career here at FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Food and Beverage in 2011. I have over ten years of F&B experience, which is why I was chosen in 2014 to be the Maitre,’D of Nibi. Here is where I obtained a love for the rich history of wine and wine making. I enrolled in “The Court of Master Sommeliers” in 2016, and received my Level One Certification. In 2017, I was promoted to Executive Casino Host, because of my passion for hospitality and guest service. I will ensure you the utmost satisfaction and happiness during your stay at our fine establishment here at FireKeepers Casino Hotel, the casino of choice in the Midwest.
I grew up in Southwest Michigan, graduating from Gull Lake High School in 2007 then attending Marietta College in Marietta, OH, where I graduated with a BA in International Leadership Studies and a Minor in Organizational Communication and Public Relations in 2011. I became a FireKeepers Casino Hotel Team Member in 2012 and have held a variety of roles in the organization. I am excited to utilize my experience and passion for Guest Service as your Executive Casino Host. My goal is to always ensure that your experiences at our fantastic property are fun, extremely friendly, completely vibrant and enthusiastically upscale.
It is exciting for me to be able to use the formal education that I received at the Minister of Tourism in Bucharest, Romania and Michigan State University in Hotel Development and Hospitality Administration. I’m also fluent in Romanian, Italian and French. It is my personal commitment for each guest to enjoy themselves during their stay and help make it memorable. Little did I know, what I thought was going to be just another job, turned out to be my door to an industry that I have grown to love. I began my tenure at FireKeepers in 2018 in the luxurious Four Diamond Hotel. A year later, the Marketing Department granted me the opportunity to advance my career in this exciting and competitive environment. My Business Administration background at Western Michigan University has provided me the foundation and skills required to grow within the company.

The eye catching lights, sound of the slot reels, and dealers call for change stole my attention in 2015, when I first began my journey with FireKeepers Casino Hotel in the Red Hot Rewards Club as a representative. Since then, I have held titles of Rewards Club Supervisor and Casino Host. The passion and love I have for guest service has forever drawn me to the Executive Host family, to which I am honored to now be part of. The thrill I experienced on my first walk through has only grown with the company. My name is Hai Nguyen and I was born and raised in Vietnam. I came to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2009 for college at McNeese State University. I started my journey in casino career as a Player Representative in Player department then I moved to VIP Representative in one of the casinos in Louisiana. As an Executive Casino Host at FireKeepers Casino Hotel, I want to build warm and meaningful relationships with my guests as true friends.
