Nibi Awarded Wine Spectator’s 2014 Award of Excellence
(Battle Creek, Mich.) – FireKeepers Casino Hotel owned and operated by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, proudly announces that Nibi, the property’s signature restaurant, has won a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
Wine Spectator, a publication created by editors that review more than 15,000 wines each year in blind tastings, awards 2,791 venues each year from over 50 countries the Award of Excellence. This showcases the winning restaurant’s ability to offer premium wines from quality producers, while also matching said wines intrinsically with the menu. Nibi received the award after providing Wine Spectator with a wine list of at least 90 wines as well as the restaurant’s dinner menu which was in turn judged by members and editors of Wine Spectator. FireKeepers Casino Hotel Executive Chef and Vice President of Food Operations Michael McFarlen commended the property saying, “I am very proud to be a part of this and to have Nibi nationally recognized in such a widely respected publication.”
Nibi is listed as winning the award in the August 31, 2014 edition of Wine Spectator.
