Jay Leno to Perform at FireKeepers

In May of 1992, Jay Leno followed in the footsteps of legendary NBC late-night hosts Steve Allen, Jack Paar and Johnny Carson as the host of the “Tonight Show”. Leno’s “Everyman” style gave the “Tonight Show” a different twist and increased ratings throughout his 19 years as host. Leno passed the torch of the “Tonight Show” to Jimmy Fallon in 2013.
Leno is a well-known car lover and this fall will return to TV as the host of CNBC’s series, “Jay Leno’s Garage.” He will also appear as a car aficionado on the ABC TV hit series “Last Man Standing”, which stars Tim Allen. Leno previously appeared on another Allen hit TV series, “Home Improvement” in 1995.
Throughout Jay Leno’s career he has continued to perform standup comedy all over the world. Some of his appearances include performing for the U.S. Troops in Bosnia and Avaino, Italy, as well as regular appearances in Las Vegas and various other venues across the United States. Leno is also an in-demand corporate speaker, children’s book author, TV and movie voice-over artist and much-loved philanthropist. He is the recipient of the People’s Choice Award for the Most Popular Star on Television, and has been inducted into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Leno also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
