Press Room

(Battle Creek, Mich.) April 4, 2017 – FireKeepers Casino Hotel is gearing up for a summer full of music and entertainment. There’s a great array of styles, from the contemporary country hits of Eli Young Band on June 24, to the awesome comedy of longtime Michigan resident Tim Allen, on July 8, to the iconic harmonies of Rascal Flatts on August 4, and the incomparable guitar genius and firebreathing intensity of Ted Nugent on August 18.

The four members of the Eli Young Band — lead vocalist Mike Eli, guitarist James Young, bassist Jon Jones and drummer Chris Thompson — have been playing together since 2000 while attending North Texas State University. With the 2011 release of their Republic Nashville debut, "Life at Best," band members scored their first No. 1 hit with "Crazy Girl," which was named Song of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" also became a No. 1 hit and earned the band Grammy nominations for Best Duo-Group Performance and Best Country Song. The band has since released a second album, "10,000 Towns."

Tickets for the Eli Young Band go on sale Saturday, April 1 and start at $19.

Tim Allen is one of America’s most beloved actor/comedians. He stars on the hit ABC sitcom “Last Man Standing” and can also be seen performing stand-up to sold-out crowds at venues across the country.

The voice of the Pure Michigan national marketing campaign, Allen honed his talents as a stand-up at regional comedy clubs while also working a day job at a Detroit area advertising agency.  It wasn’t long until Hollywood executives saw him on stage and signed him to star in the ABC television series “Home Improvement” for which he received a Golden Globe Award, an Emmy nomination, and was honored with the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Male Performer in a Television Series” for an unprecedented eight years in a row.

Allen made his film debut in 1994 playing a holiday icon in “The Santa Clause,” earning him another People’s Choice Award. In 1995, he voiced Buzz Lightyear in the blockbuster hit “Toy Story” and went on to reprise his role in “Toy Story 2” and the Oscar-winning “Toy Story 3.” His other film credits include the hit films “Galaxy Quest,” “Wild Hogs,” “The Shaggy Dog,” “Jungle 2 Jungle” and “For Richer Or Poorer.”

Tickets for Tim Allen go on sale Saturday, April 8 and start at $59.
