FireKeepers Casino Hotel Crowns MSPT Michigan State Poker Champion

(Battle Creek, Mich.) – FireKeepers Casino Hotel owned and operated by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, proudly announces that Ryan Dykhouse of Grand Rapids, MI won the Mid-States Poker Tour Michigan State Championship on Sunday, October 19.


Dykhouse was the victor out of 517 entrants that created a prize pool greater than $500,000. He brought home the title of Michigan State Poker Champion along with $124,500, beating out the nine other contestants at the table. Runner up was Mark Johnson from Warren, MI, who walked away with $70,000. The complete final table results are as follows:

Satellites and qualifiers for the MSPT Michigan State Poker Championship started in September and ran through October with events taking place in the FireKeepers Poker Room. The turnout for the three day final event was the second largest the MSPT has ever had in its history, a feat that was attributed to the FireKeepers Casino Hotel guest service and atmosphere by Poker Manager Kelley Bailey, stating “People really enjoy our venue. That combined with the excitement and following MSPT brings made this a greatly successful event, and we are happy that we were able to provide our guests with this great experience.”
