As a critical infrastructure of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, FireKeepers will, for the time being, continue to operate under these strict protocols, but we will continue to vigilantly review these protocols in cooperation with health officials and the Tribe’s Gaming Regulators to determine if additional controls or actions are needed to support the effort to slow down the spread of this virus.
FireKeepers’ focus, since the June 1 reopening, is the protection of our guests and our 1800 Team Members. We are confident that the recent significant increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases is not being influenced by FireKeepers’ operations because of the mitigation steps we have taken and which we continue to rigorously enforce.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER SO EVERYONE CAN WIN
FireKeepers Casino Hotel has developed a full series of safety measures, solely focused on creating a safe environment for our guests and our team members. For over a decade, we have cared greatly about both our guests and Team Members. Therefore, we are leveraging top health and safety standards, even where it may be difficult, to protect those we value greatly!
Our standards will be rigid at the outset. We apologize for any standards that you find restrictive or unpleasant. We are constantly monitoring the situation and are taking a phased approach to reopening based on the guidance we continue to receive from public health officials on the local, state and national level.
Please do not visit FireKeepers Casino Hotel if you have a fever, if you are not feeling well, have recently traveled outside of the U.S., or have had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19. Stay home and visit when the time is right.
All guests and team members are required to wear a mask at all times. We ask that guests who are unable to wear a mask wait to visit until this policy is lifted.
A self-service kiosk will take your temperature every time you enter the casino. Any guest with a temperature 100 degrees or higher will be barred from entering the building.
Smoking is prohibited anywhere inside the building. Guests may leave the building to smoke (in designated exterior areas) but are required to a temperature check upon return.
FireKeepers will have dozens of Cleaning Ambassadors moving throughout the property, cleaning everything from slot machines to high touch areas, to keep the building as safe as possible. Hand-sanitizing stations will be available on the casino floor, at the entrances and throughout the resort and we encourage frequent hand washing.
For social distancing, the following areas are closed until further notice:
- Valet Parking
- Mijem Buffet
- Chi Mon-ee’s
- Bus Marketing
- Hotel Pool, Hot Tub, & Sauna/Steam Room
- Self-service beverage stations
- Coat Check
FireKeepers will offer limited gaming, with approximately half of our slot machines active and limitations on the number of people eligible to play each table game. Additional players will not be allowed above the table limits. Guests also cannot stand immediately behind a seated table games player.
For luggage assistance, see a Front Desk Associate upon arrival. Please note that the pool, sauna and workout areas are closed upon our reopening. This reduces options for non-gaming guests and anyone staying with a guest under the age of 21.
Our extensive food safety standards include reduced tables in each restaurant. We follow safe food handling practices and sanitize all food and beverage equipment. Please understand each restaurant’s limitations.
To best determine how busy we are, before heading to FireKeepers, check our slot machine occupancy below. This will tell you what percentage of machines are in play at the time. The higher the percentage of games in play, the fewer machines there are available. Take this number into consideration. FireKeepers does not promise every guest that we will always have available slot machines. If occupancy reaches a certain level, we reserve the right to restrict guests from entering the casino.
